Social Services -

A variety of social services are available to all ACRU patients to help

alleviate the stresses that are associated with HIV. Ongoing case management, including psycho-social assessment, psychiatric consultation and case planning, is provided by the case management team. This team is comprised of a Masters level Social Worker and case workers.

Available services include:

	Needs assessment
	Counseling and crisis intervention
	Patient education in HIV, risk reduction and HIV prevention

Referrals to community resources, inpatient/outpatient services,

and medical/mental health services

Advocacy for patients who encounter obstacles in their attempts

to secure needed or referred services
