I have been a Photographer in Florida for 13 years deriving my sole business income from Stock Photography usage sales, Commercial Assignment Photography work and Digital Imaging.

The Commercial Photography work represents years (since 1986) of assignment, Studio and location work all shot by Ty Heston in either the 35mm format or the 4X5 format. Everything from architecture to environmental portraits to widgets. No two assignments are the same - presenting new challenges and finding new solutions. We have the perfect weather and conditions for shooting almost everyday of the year.
The Digital Imaging side has been an increasingly exciting arena and a logical progressive step for us, especially staging images that - (should in a perfect world) but simply do not exist in this one. The butterfly on the dog's nose, the dolphin jumping in unison and/or lightning in just the right place, people in a large room, etc. It has been a challenge for many years now, to get not good, but great believable results with imaging, both compositionally and technically. Quality is very important.
My work has been published thousands of times in the last years, in almost every type of media usage conceivable including images for Chevrolet, Nissan, Corvette Quarterly, Islands Magazine, Vogue, Brut Faberge', Miami Herald, Sports Illustrated for Kids, GTE, Skybox, C.E. Communications, Citizen's Insurance, Arthur Andersen, Windsurfing Magazine, Christian Science Monitor, GMAC Advantage Magazine, Guest Informant, Dollar Rent-A-Car, General Rent-A-Car, Aegis Group, Golf Tours International, Mutual Funds Magazine, Friends Magazine, N.Y. Times and literally hundreds of others.
