Transit

I really enjoyed "Transit." The story starts out a bit disjointed, but I thought it pulled together quite well, and I found myself more interested in the fate of some minor characters than I have been in some other books. The story was interesting, and contained some unexpected turns. The story seems to mirror the preceeding book, "Love and War", a fact that I found fascinating. It is not a 'Doctorless' book, but the minor characters get a lot of print. A note: a lot of people don't seem to like this book.

Recommended.

The Also People

I enjoyed this book very much. It involves another attempt by the Doctor to take a vacation...a sure sign of trouble to come. What is unusual, and extremely interesting, is that the author manages to weave the vacation theme into the story. The characters actually get to do some relaxing before solving the mystery, and these quiet moments provide some wonderful character development.

Highly recommended.
