I reinforced the over head with fiber glass to help to hold its shape.
My local fabric store now carries over head material its about $12 a yard and I used 3M super 77 adhesive.

I've figured out a way to make a very clean and professional looking overhead panel. I had my friend make me a black vinyl cut out and I placed it over a piece of plexi glass. I'm back lighting it with a red gel and I'm using it as my dome light.
