Jack Brown's Seaplane Base is located in central Florida, U.S.A., three miles northwest of the city of Winter Haven. Our access road off Highway 92 is marked with a red sign with a yellow seaplane. Looking at the MapQuest map (Click here for a map) , Jack Brown's Seaplane Base! is at the West end of the airport where the airport meets the lake. For those of you lucky enough to arrive by private
airplane, we are located at the west side of the Winter Haven Airport. There is a paved
taxiway from the west end of runway 29 down to the seaplane base. Fuel and tie down are
available. Winter Haven (Gilbert Field) has two runways with the largest being 5000 feet.
It is lighted and UNICOM frequency 122.7 is used. We are on the 71" radial, 14 miles
from the Commercial airlines service Orlando International, 45 miles Northeast of us, as well as Tampa International, 45 miles due West of Winter Haven. Rental cars are available there as well as at the Winter Haven Airport. Central Florida Limousine 863.655.8155 will bring you to our doorstep. They do require a reservation. |
