Our seaplane rating can be incorporated into a family vacation.

Central Florida is the vacation capital of the world. We are 25 miles (by interstate) to the main gate at Walt Disney World. Also, in close proximity, you will find Epcot, MGM and Universal Studios, Sea World and Busch Gardens (Tampa). Winter Haven is the home of Cypress Gardens.

In the springtime, central Florida is host to Major League Baseball's Grapefruit Circuit, also known as spring training. Many major league teams train close by, including the Detroit Tigers in Lakeland and the Cleveland Indians in Winter Haven.
And now the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Major League Baseball's newest team, play a full regular season in St. Petersburg (an hour and a half drive).

The  Orlando Magic pound the parquet court  dunking their basketballs on the best players in the N.B.A at the downtown Orlando Arena.

If N.F.L. style football is your thing, the resurgent Tampa Bay Buccaneers play their brand of hard hitting, quick moving, "Pewter Power" football in downtown Tampa. The Bucs have a new spirit under Coach Jon Gruden, (and hopefully some offense).  They christened a state-of-the-art stadium in 1998, complete with a pirate ship and Swashbucklers.

There are many public golf courses in the area that are open year round. Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean beaches are an hour and a half away.
