Dominate Meeting - The Ledger, July 28th
Greetings to all P.A.C. members and all concerned citizens,
Some of you have spoken at these meetings before, some have not. I would like to offer a few tips for speaking to the board. Be polite. It sounds simple, but when tempers are running high sometimes it is a little tough. There may be folks from the other side of the issue there tonight as well. Do not let them goad you or make you say or do anything that you may regret. We will be called names, like whiners, disrespectful, and bad parents among other things. Realize that when people have nothing of substance to say, name calling often results.
We have the RIGHT to address the board. You will have 3 minutes to speak. Say what you want them to know. This is your forum. Remember, the whole nation is watching our county to see if this policy will be allowed to stand.
This is how, we the people, will take back our schools. One step at a time. See you tonight.
