By a vote of the Polk County School Board, P.A.C. member Chris Hughes was appointed to the Safe and Orderly Schools Committee on Tuesday, August 24th. In nominating Chris for this position, the members of the board mentioned that they felt P.A.C. was a voice for many parents of school children and that they hoped he would help represent those parents for the board.
This is the first positive acknowledgment from the board that P.A.C.
is a growing voice in our community and our schools. Congratulations Chris,
and thank you to all of the P.A.C. members who made his appointment possible.
