Our getaway home is located in Bokeelia, on an island on the west coast of Florida about a 175 mile drive from Orlando. On March 12, 2005 we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with a beach party at Bokeelia. Friday the 13th of August 2004 Hurricane Charlie passed directly over the house in Bokeelia at 174 mph prior to traveling across the state and passing directly over the house in Belle Isle. In June of 2003 we spent three weeks touring Spain. Son Steve joined us for one of those weeks. To start the new century we took a three week riverboat cruise of Europe’s great rivers. Both Bob and Colleen have spent years researching family history. Bob was first to publish his ancestral story, but Colleen is close behind. Colleen recently published the third edition of her famous cookbook. Literally hundreds of family-proven great eating!

Our Orlando home is south of town in a small city called Belle Isle.
