Born March 1, 1931, of Indiana parents. High school, a year in Hayward California,
then Shortridge in Indianapolis ('48). Majored in chemistry at Harvard (class of '52) and on to University of Indiana School of Medicine (M.D. '55). U.S. Navy Hospital, San Diego, U.S.S. Sperry a year, the Univeristy of Miami School of Medicine for Residency and Cardiology Fellowship. Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Pre-hospital emergency Rescue Care, Disaster Planning and Mitigation.
