MORE THAN JUST CENTER PIECES, these works of art are formed using a technique known as slumping. In this technique, flat glass is placed atop one of many molds created by the artist and heated till it folds around it. The bowl is then hand-painted in a variety of colors, designs and lusters in multiple firings. The resulting works range greatly in size, from wide shallow bowls to tall complex vases. Prices start at $50.
