Looking Glass Egg
One would think when glancing over this particular oval that their reflection might just look back. Shaded in dull silver with washes of pale blues and golds, this egg seems to mirror the very sands on which it sits. The waves of heat that radiate from the cavern floor enhance that illusion of glancing into a pond or reflective glass the Glasscrafters might have on hand. Each angle seems to display the hints of color around it - a bit of crimson from a nearby egg occasionally appears to mar its clean near-metallic glow. Neither the largest nor the smallest occupant of the warm Telgar grounds, it is of an almost boring medium size when compared to its sand-mates.

Aurora Storm Egg
This medium sized egg is a smoothly curving ovoid, wider at the bottom then at the top. The overall color is a darkened blue-gray, much like the sky in that instant when it is backlit by lightening in the midst of a storm. Streaking across this matte scape are streaks of white, flecked with almost incandescent pinks, blues, and purples.

Ladder Egg
Brown, the color of aged wood, predominates, but it is not even, shading from dark to a lighter shade on the sides and patterned as if made of long rectangle pieces. Towards the middle of the egg are two even darker brown vertical line lines with short horizontals stretching between the two verticals at regular intervals. A vague pale haired figure in orange and green seems to be climbing, or perhaps, descending the ladder that the lines seem to create. Carried by the figure on a long black rope is a cylindrically shaped glow basket decorated with a dot of blue.

Magnificent Mouth-Watering Muffin Egg
Golden-brown, its curves made to seem soft by the gentle shading that becomes darkest in a hint of burn around the edges, this could be the enormous magnum opus of some mad Baker as easily as an egg; its pale apex has a pattern to suggest a crumbly, crumby texture, while the more glossy nadir seems more apt to hold together. Hints of pale pink peek out from just beneath the surface--pieces of some sort of fruit, perhaps? A thorough semblance, it's enough to make a pastry-lover's mouth water, and certainly Herath seems fond of it. For whatever odd reason, she tends to hover over this particular egg much more than most of its brethren... even indulging in the occasional lick as though to taste its fluffy warmth.

Snow Reflections Pastel Egg
This is likely one of the largest eggs laid upon the sands of the cavern. Despite it's looming presence among it's mates, it's shading is anything but that. So pale, one who only glanced over it quickly, might misjudge it's color as ivory or bone. In actuality, however, this egg boasts a myriad of hues so ashy that only those who pause to give it a good look will notice its beauty. Like the cool flakes of snow that drift down from above and take just hints of color from their surroundings, so does this oval seem to do. Washes of bare-dawn periwinkle, innocent-lass blush, ivory-yellow and washed-away lavender appear to cling for life to its face, as if for their own identities within the swirling storm they are a part of.

Glorious Galaxy Egg
A night sky is mirrored against the inky blackness of this egg. Little tiny pearlescent spots cover the surface like so many stars in the heavens. A dusting of ash, just a hint across the top suggests galaxies and beyond. Rising from the bottom a cinnabar sun spreads molten streaks to the center where they meet twilight and void.

Gilded Glazed Glasswork Egg
Pale gold shimmers here in delicate, streaming strands--but do not mistake the nature of this egg; the soft and shallow metal is only webbing for the more subtle beauty of the shell entire, its slender fingers clasping dream-like colors to hold them in place. Between the lines shine curves that should, it seems, be clear. Yet they are not so. Though there is a hint of glass's translucency, pale tints opalize the panes with ephemeral and elusive clouds; blue and violet, green and watered red, sunshine-yellow and milky white. Set off to the side of the clutch, it glows with quiet and self-contained beauty, needing no other clutchmate to serve as foil.

Burnt Reminders Egg
Crackling flames leave burnt designs, cast forever upon ovoid's shell in a reminder of foolery beneath the sun. Broiling hues of vermillion and salmon pink hiss at stark peach, salvaging pale from the flames in letter-shaped array. A stripe--and a word, it's message unclear, as if painted on atop the ravages of sun-burst glory. Crimson provides decadent shading about cool patterns, incandescent in war-torn hues creeping from curve to curve in judicious delight.

Locked Gates Egg
Wraith-gray, wraith-pale, the egg could be a ghost of those long-cracked; insubstantial in hue though not in size, it etches a snowflake's semblance atop a glacier's sunlit distance: gray over paler gray, snow over ice, tortuous precision over stony-hearted purity. The only asymmetry comes offset, slipped shy of the narrower tip; there its contrast deepens as if lit from within, shell locked by iron fretwork against luminous sky that could as easily be twilight as dawn.

Tousled Tumbling Tresses Egg
Imagine a giant hairball. No, no... that's too matted, too disgusting; this egg is neither, so try to picture an enormous hair-piece instead. One which happens to be egg-shaped. Got that? Now, make sure that the hair is short, and chestnut-hued; it needs to be curly, because certainly the warm brown crescents here cannot be called straight. They curve instead in coy ringlets which tumble like the mane of a child who's been avoiding her mother's hairbrush; faint hints of red are sprinkled throughout, cinnamon scatterings to match the highlights of sunlit gold that lend the semblance depth.

Decomposing Glows Egg
This rather large egg appears to be covered with a filmy, gooey substance, though you realize that it simply has to be a trick of the light. Soft emerald tendrils snake their way across the expansive surface of the egg, with waves of yellow laying faded tracks between them. In several spots, dark olive blotches mar the delicate pattern woven atop this colorful egg. Although the egg is relatively brightly colored, these colors and patterns seem to fade from view even as you watch, the soft green light that seems to radiate from the egg's moody surface appearing to peacefully fade away into the nothingness within it.

Forest River Egg
Green and brown cut through by a ribbon of pale blue, this egg may seem unremarkable at first glance. To see the real beauty in this egg a closer look is necessary. The mottled green mixed with bits and patches of brown when studied begins to resemble a forest viewed adragonback. Also the bland ribbon of blue becomes a meandering river that criss-crosses the forested expanse of the egg, sparkling in an unseen light, before disappearing into the sea of green.

Rainbow Chaos Egg
Whatever hue one can possibly think of can be found on this riotously colored egg. The primary colors are that one finds in a rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. They start joined at a central point at the top of this medium side egg, and pinwheel outward in thickened streaks before meeting again on the underside. Every now and again the streaks curl and curlicue here and there, mixing the colors to create new ones.

Pale Crackdust Egg
Before you sits a relatively small egg, shale grey in color. The surface of the egg is smattered with black smears that almost appear to be deep crevices within the otherwise smooth surface of the egg. Swirls of white streak across the sides of the egg, drizzling down toward the Sands in which the egg is snugly nestled. Dim wisps of silver seem to cap the egg, as though the object was still smoking after having been lit ablaze. The dark egg emanates heat in the sunlight, and is therefore surrounded by a murky haze during the daylight hours.

Beaded Bijoux Bauble Egg
Certain women without the funds--or perhaps the preference--for jewels indulge in chokers and bracelets of glass, agate, or semiprecious beads; didd you wrap one of these items 'round and 'round an egg until it was covered entirely, you would end up with a shell-pattern similar to the one seen here. Regular glints of dark purple, equally dark green, and iridescent glack do resemble beadwork, partitioned by a segmented double spiral of ruddy gold. A softer silver-grey threads through the whole, its gentle weaving keeping the semblance in place without calling attention to itself.

Is There A Draft Egg
The shell of this ovoid is a dark, rich ebony, gleaming in the light so that it appears at one glance to be made of smooth leather, furred velvet at a second. The inky hue drapes lovingly over curves, though it is broken with two well-formed globes of healthy, near flesh color in the very center of the shell. The peach is mixed with cream and tan, a hearty and appealing tint, perfectly rounded and given depth by tricks of the light. Dimples appear at the top of each fulsome sphere, inviting a lecherous grope or a good-natured slap. In all, the image is a slightly bawdy one of a tender flush in the midst of heavy black shell, inviting one and all to oogle and admire its magnificence.

Dusty Secrets Egg
Burnished leather layers secrets upon dusty tomes, pressed in ancient pleasure to remain, bearing delights, upon this egg. Creamy yellow provides contrast, dusty layers blowing into the air with a breath from within, words beneath making bright landscaped hues. A rich swathe of scarlet velvet falls atop, as if a marker, hung from above, to mark forever the page at which the world might get a glimpse. Yellow becomes brown, dully fading into obscurity as ages takes it's toll, forever making as if to take away the presence of the scroll that wraps itself about the egg's curves.

Caramel Cream Spiral Egg
One of the largest eggs of the clutch, it might easily inspire a Baker to create a similar confection. It is very wide at the bottom, curving upward to a smaller top. The overall color of the egg is a rich, white cream, but all around the bottom and base of the egg there is a thick swath of burnt orange-brown, the exact shade of sweet caramel. From this, like syrup being dribbled around it white it was being rotated, a streak of that caramel spirals around the rest of the egg, ending in a little squiggle on top.

Tropical Jungle Egg
The overall color of this medium sized egg is a vibrant green, a lush color reminiscient of the forests of the Southern Continent. Splashes of tropical hues have been splattered across it as if a painter had randomly dipped his brush and flicked it over the egg. Here there's a streak of yellow, there a splash a teal, and just on the other side, a dab of pink. There's even hints of black speckled here and there, especially at the top and bottom.

Sleeping Feline Egg
Of slightly larger than average size, this egg resembles nothing more than a very large Southern Continent feline curled up with its tail over its nose, asleep in the safety of the warm Sands. The shell is of a deep golden-brown hue flecked with indistinct spots of chocolate brown and black. A splash of mottled sienna breaks up one end into a series of patterns that suggest the ears and curve of the tail, complete with a large, irregular black spot for the tip. One almost might expect it to stretch and walk away at some point before the Hatching even begins.

Perfectly Plush Peach Egg
Yellow melds with pink, mates with orange, shifts to red in a color patterning that's too bold and opaque to ever be mistaken for dawn, that lacks the fire necessary for sunset. These shades are warm and earthy things to match the warm and earthy egg they grace. It's curious--the shape of the shell is firmly round, less oblong than most, yet otherwise seems healthy; though it may *seem* to have a deep groove cut along one side, thanks to the splash of deep scarlet which streaks down, a touch, a squeeze, or a simple closer look would prove this to be illusion. And so, too, is the scent of sun-warmed peach that might be recalled to memory by the sphere's fruity perfection.

Fluffy Cloud Egg
This egg is perhaps more squat and and oblong then the other eggs of the clutch, along with being one of the smaller eggs as well. But the egg's color is perhaps one of the prettiest; a lovely shade of blue that is the exact match of Telgar's sky on a perfect summer day. All over this soft blue surface are splotches of white, with gentle curves instead of sharper edges that make them seem like nothing else but fluffy clouds. A few have very gentle undertones of pinks and greys, just enough to add to their texture.

Frying Pan Of Doom Egg
The hue of this egg will look familiar to any of those who happened to be around the Baker's Craftmaster during her tenure in their kitchen. Some, mayhaps, will even dart their eyes away quickly if their conscious is not clear. The nearly menacing iron gray that casts itself across the oval is an unmistakable match to that black-glinty color that pans used for frying boast. A blur of color along its right side seems to suggest that the vessel portrayed by its hue is being wielded through the air somehow, as if the onlooker is able to actually catch the pan mid-movement. There is also an ominous feel, somehow, to the presence it holds on the sands - almost as if it were the instrument of some unseen greater power. It will likely not be the favorite of those Candidates allowed to trek across the grounds for egg-touchings, but it is certainly a sight with its steely, powerful occupancy upon the sands.

Wadded-Up Egg
Were it human-sized, human-made, the orange lump of an egg might easily serve as backrest before a fire: wrinkled lighter and darker like a warm wadded-up blanket, the weave's pattern warped to an indecipherable muddle of red and yellow, it even has tiny crumb-freckles of toasty brown dusted here and there and a sticky-seeming berry-smudge about its base. An occasional pulled thread may attest to a firelizard's claws, but even in dishevelment it's not lost its comfortable, convex contours, the better to not just support but _shape_.

Morning's Reflection Egg
When Rukbat begins to peek over where the earth meets the sky, the resultant hue is a mirage of pale yellows and golds. Any body of water fortunate enough to fall within that basking glow manages to garb itself in those same hues, much like a lovely Lady Holder in faint-colored Gather finery. Warm citrus tints envelop this oval like silks spun from the finest materials. Not one wrinkle mars the shimmery illusion of delicate gossamer threads illuminated by flaxen rays of light as they skim the horizon at dawn's first claim over the passing night. Not -exactly- gold, mayhaps, this large egg seems to be more of a bronzed yellow kissed by the aurora's first precious moments of sunrise.

Haunting Shroud Egg
In contrast to many of its brethren, this smallish egg is veritably monochromatic, its shell appearing utterly black from any distance. Upon closer inspection, however, veil-like swirls of silver and white coil across its surface like wisps of smoke or trailing spirits, seeming to show more depth and subtlety the longer one looks at it.... in fact, if stared at long enough, the diaphanous wisps form the suggestion of an openmouthed face howling from the inky depths. A few fleckings of scarlet near the larger end of the ovoid add a hint of perhaps disquieting color.

Crystal Glacier Egg
Gleaming like a snowdrift caught in a desert, this distinctive egg is quite large compared to most of the others, and made all the more obvious by its pristine surface. At first glance, it appears pure white, but its shell is actually a soft turquoise hue patterned with a geometric design of white that suggests frost crystals or the cracking on the surface of a frozen lake. Tiny starlike spots of dark blue sprinkle the narrow end as though something has fallen through the surface to reveal the churning water below, while a faint sprinkling of golden spots freckle the opposite crest.

Milky Sweet Egg
Topaz and milky oatmeal swirls cover the middle of the egg with alabaster poles at either end. Dizzying curved canals of chocolate extend in a rayed formation within the swirls, like a starburst of sweetness containing a muddied center. Blonde marbled splotches dot the poles whose edges smudge into and ancient ivory trim, circumventing the widest area which suggests a map of mystery.

Snowy White Egg
The shell of this egg is a bright white, though the hue is uneven in areas, splotched here and there with softer shades of gray. Overall, it gives the shell a textured appearance, almost as though it were covered in feathers. The grain is haphazard, giving the egg a faintly indignant, ruffled appearance. In the center of the ovoid, there are darker swirls of ebony, coalescing around two spots of mustard yellow. The markings seem almost like eyes, steady and unblinking in the midst of this frippery. Could this be a wherry, or perhaps even one of those ducks, posing as an egg in the hopes Herath won't eat it? Only time will tell.

Broken Calm Egg
Glassy blues spread balmy shades upon cool curves, a glint of light catching each in gracious brilliance--broken, by the entrance of waves and crashes, diving forms becoming part of perfection upon the ovoid. Symmetry fails aquamarine and tourmaline, wave-like formations falling about curves in mathematically incorrect correlations, a flash of colour here and there making as if fish, darting from edge to edge amid the tumultuous onslaught. Salty tears capture palest blue in their wake, like dew, to run down salicious shell in failed triumph.

The Weyrleader Is A Crack Smoker Egg
This egg is a sinewy, dark colored egg capped with a jet black splotch and beaded with two specs of silver. It appears to be rather unsteady within the Sands in which it rests, seeming to teeter back and forth as you watch it. From this egg you can sense great confusion, its many colors and patterns seeming to suggest a randomness of character. In the middle of the top half of this egg you can see what looks like a shining, glass object, perhaps a cylinder of some sort, from which small wisps of grey trail outward, vaguely resembling hazy smoke from a lazy fire. Overall, you're not quite sure what to make of this egg. Perhaps you should consider fearing it.
