Benefits of Membership
When we join the Coral Ridge Homeowner's Association, CRA, we become a member of one the finest groups in Fort Lauderdale. Our association is made up of homeowners who genuinely care about their neighborhood and want to help make it better- the streets, landscaping, sidewalks, signs, building codes, traffic, code violations, and schools. Members want to protect their children and their homes. Members also like to have fun and socialize with their neighbors at planned functions like picnics, parties, children's events, Easter egg hunts, and general meetings.
For twenty-five dollars a year, there isn't a better bargain. So please be ready with a check made out to Coral Ridge Association on November 1st, the beginning of the 2003 calendar year, either to renew your membership, or to become a new member of this prestigious group.

Congratulations Bayview
Bayview Elementary School once again proves it is a tremendous asset to the residents of Coral Ridge by leading all elementary schools in Broward County. The State has released the FCAT test results showing Bayview Elementary having a combined score of 515 points with the next closest elementary school having a score of 490 points. This "A" rated school performance is a reflection of how Principal, Joan Coffman and her staff dedicated themselves to advancing the education of their students. The Coral Ridge Association will be presenting a monetary gift to the School for the staff to use in connection with their move to the "new" school this Fall. If you know any student or faculty member, how about giving them a call and congratulate them for a "job well done". |

Would You Like to be on the Board?
As this newsletter was printed, Bob Helmholdt, Jim Rampe, and Ron Laffey were looking for Coral Ridge Association members who are interested in becoming part of the next Board of Governors. If you are interested in being a Board Member, but have not been contacted by one of the above, give Ron a call at (954) 566-0276. As long as you have been a CRA member since March 2002, you are eligible. A full list of candidates will be in the September issue of this newsletter.
In 1998, a revised set of Bylaws was passed, limiting all members of the Board to 3 "consecutive" years of service. At the end of this fiscal year, 12 of the 20 members must step aside and allow new Coral Ridge Homeowners to take their place.
With at least 12 new members, the Coral Ridge Association Board of Governors of 2002-2003 will have fresh ideas and untapped energy to continue where the Board of 2001-2002 left off.
