The INFO RADIO FM low power advertising transmitter repeats up to a 90 second (information) or advertising message to be received by a car radio.
1) The Transmit frequency is in the FM broadcast band (88 to 108) mhz. The frequency is set by dip switches which lock a PLL chip and control the output transmit frequency, this allows the transmitter to be stable and drift free.
2) The front panel has a push button switch for On/Off, an LED for operating and PLL indication and a built in Microphone for recording messages.
3) The rear panel has access to the dip switches for setting the output transmit frequency. A push to record button activates the micro controller which performs all the necessary record functions including the end of message marker so there is no dead air time for messages with loop lengths less than 90 seconds. The auxiliary input jack is to be used for an external microphone or mixer box to add backgound music to your recording or to load a pre-recorded message. NOTE: This design does not offer live transmitting. The Mic jack only records into the on board recording circuit.
4) There is a built in telescoping antenna and no external antenna jack or connection as use of any other antenna would extend the distance and void the FCC approval.
5) A unique feature of the IR90FM is that it can be mounted in any direction and the antenna rotated to a vertical position.
such as wall mounting in a garage or model home.
6) The Power supply is a plug in 110vac 9 or 12 vdc output which is wired into the transmitter. The transmitter will operate on a 12 vdc battery or aux. automobile power plug.
