This beautiful animal was drawn on gray
paper, a cool neutral color, to really bring out the fiery red colors in
his coat. Some subjects are better drawn on a paper of contrasting
color, such as this, while others are better on paper closer to the color
of the subject. It is usually best to let the artist make this decision,
unless you have a preference for reasons of your own.
